Who's Ready For an Adventure?
Jimmy Jenkenheimer is our ambitious, though unrefined Adventure Super Master, a hero with the power to travel into any piece of literature by striking himself as hard as he can in the head with the book's cover. Using this secret skill, Jimmy leads his companions into the world of educational broadcast television (a cross between Reading Rainbow and The Crocodile Hunter.) This literary safari however, is hijacked by Jimmy’s bitter rivals, The Lobster Handed Krew. As Jimmy is forced into a game of cat and mouse through numerous works of classic fiction, he has to make a choice between protecting his friends and confronting the wounds of his past.

Our Story
Jimmy Jenkenheimer began as a series of video projects Park Lytle filmed for his high school AP Literature class. Park's goal was to create a project for each assigned reading that was so off-topic of the original assignment, but contained so much creativity and passion that he would still walk away with an A.

What began as an act of teenage rebellion grew into a lifelong obsession with the characters and world of his own creation. Park spent the next 8 years after high school creating new adventures for Jimmy Jenkenheimer. Introducing new characters and events that would put Jimmy Jenkenheimer on a timeline that spans nearly 30 years.

After starting graduate school at California Institute of The Arts, Park Lytle began adapting his original video series into a one-act play, in hopes of bringing new life to his creative outlet. Park would team up with his longtime stage manager and life-partner Sam Millette, as well as director Kellie Hageman to stage Jimmy Jenkenheimer's first performance run on November 10th, 2023 on the CalArts campus.

Today, Park Lytle continues to produce and stage Jimmy Jenkenheimer in the LA area, and has begun work writing additional plays that continue to adapt from the many other adventures he wrote

Park Lytle is a playwright and creative producer originally from Seattle, but is currently based in Los Angeles. He is currently pursuing his MFA in creative producing at California Institute of The Arts where he expected to graduate May of 2025. Prior to CalArts, Park received his Bachelors in Economics from Fairfield University. Park devotes his artistic resources to the bold and colorful, with an emphasis on helping produce and develop new works. Park lives by the adventure mindset pivotal to Jimmy Jenkenheimer, he believes in finding excitement in all works and exploring every emotion in art both comforting and abrasive. In his writings, Park Lytle takes great inspiration from the humor of Douglas Adams and the spontaneity of Pendleton Ward. Jimmy Jenkenheimer is Park's first piece that's been staged and producced for a live audience, but is currently in development of a sequel play, Jimmy Jenkenheimer and The Battle for The Red Lantern. In addition to the Jimmy universe, Park is also developing a new adventure play titled Emily Sombra in the Land of Phobos.
As a producer, Park Lytle has produced over a dozen projects ranging from live performances to acting showcases and graduations. He focuses on managing financials, schedules, and communication amongst his team, and takes special effort in identifying audiences relevant to his work and finding ways to draw them in. Park produces new works from new playwrights, often developing pieces for the first time. While Jimmy Jenkenheimer is his own creative outlet, he is inspired at the passion other artists put into their own works and takes great effort to see their success.
